$500,000 In Local Grants Awarded
The Ridgefield Thrift Shop has been distributing $500,000 to 71 local charities.

In a statement in mid-March, they said "This is what it's all about: sharing our profits with other deserving local non-profit organizations. In the next couple of weeks our volunteers will be popping up all around town, delivering checks to our 2019 grant recipients. This year we are donating $500,000 to 71 groups in the greater Ridgefield area. Congratulations everyone. So well deserved!"

The 2019 recipients include: Ability Beyond, A Better Chance in Ridgefield, ACT of Connecticut, American Legion Parade, Americares Free Clinic, Amos House, Animals in Distress, Ann's Place, ARC Food Pantry, Caudatowa Garden Club, CHIRP, Daily Bread Food Pantry, Dorothy Day Hospitality House, Evelyn C. They are open Monday Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
